Club Costs & Registration Information
MSUSC operates as a nonprofit, volunteer-run soccer club. All board members, managers, and coaches donate their time, allowing player fees to go directly toward program expenses and creating opportunities for local athletes.
Our goal is simple: keep soccer affordable while providing quality training and competitive opportunities.
What Registration Fees Typically Cover
Player registration fees may include:
League registration fees (Afrim’s and CDYSL leagues)
Insurance and player registration costs
Indoor facility rentals (winter training)
Outdoor field rentals and maintenance
Referee fees for league games
Team equipment (balls, cones, training gear, first aid supplies, etc.)
Administrative and operating expenses
Coach education
Website, registration platform, and communication costs
Expenses Typically NOT Included
Uniform kits (if new uniforms are required)
Tournaments - Tournament fees are shared equally among participating players. For example, if tournament registration costs $500 and a team has 12 players, each family would contribute about $42 toward registration
Merch
Personal equipment (cleats, shin guards, bags, water bottles)
Travel expenses requiring overnight stays
Optional additional camps or private training
Team-specific activities outside club registration
Payment Plan and Schedule
Player fees may be divided into multiple payments throughout the year rather than requiring one full payment upfront.
A typical payment schedule may look like:
Initial Deposit (Summer): Confirms roster acceptance and helps cover league registration, insurance, and administrative costs
Fall Payment: Covers initial winter registration fees and facility rentals
Winter Payment: Continues to cover winter registration fees and facility rentals
Winter Payment 2: Continues to cover winter registration fees and facility rentals
Winter Payment 3: Continues to cover winter registration fees and facility rentals
Spring Payment: Covers our spring league fees, facility rentals, field paint, referee fees
Scholarships
Families needing additional flexibility are encouraged to reach out confidentially. Payment plans may be available, and our goal is to work with families whenever possible to ensure players have the opportunity to participate.
We believe finances should never be the sole reason a player is unable to play.
